This situation is becoming more 'fluid' as they say, with the penetration into Kursk. IMHO, I don't believe the Russians ever even 'thought' anyone would actually come across the border after them.
I totally agree that the US needs to stop blocking Ukraine from using its weaponry as it feels like. The whole escalation management shtick of the current administration is stupid. I think it is telling that Ukraine apparently didn't give any advance notice of its intentions before kicking this off.
We keep threatening these third countries but do squat about it. Enough is enough. I will submit that the first time we impose secondary sanctions on a few Chinese, Turkish, or other banks and companies that actually need access to the global financial system and cut them off, these countries will start panicking.

And yeah the fact that exports to places like Uzbekistan are thousands of percent above what they were 2 years ago is a scandal
