The real issue is that Biden's cabinet of idiots put restrictions on the weapons in the first place. That was stupid and has led to many unnecessary Ukrainian deaths. As is their apparent failure to provide the weapons they have promised and have budget for.
Mind you they are doing better than Europe as a whole which still, almost three years into the war, has failed to get serious about the production of munitions.
The good news is that the weapons Russia produces are crap, which is why they’re getting support from North Korea and Iran. They are having trouble producing weapons because they cannot get the parts and components they need, most of which are sourced from the west.
In addition, what Pistorius said is that Russia is CAPABLE of producing “ as many weapons and ammunition in 3 months as the entire EU does in a year.”
That’s because, as Treasury assessed in June, Russia has entirely pivoted its economy into a wartime one. Europe hasn’t because Europe is “technically” not in a hot war situation.
True. It certainly looks like Russia is in the process of economic collapse. And the Nork Weapons have to travel over the Trans Siberian railway which seems to be in the process of collapsing as a part of Russian Railway's general collapse due to lack of maintenance so there's that.
But I still think Europe - particularly Western Europe - has failed to get its act together and get serious about supplying Ukraine. Germany is probably the poster child for this, but it isn't alone.
We've seen this before from Russia. And it was/has been 'posturing' and empty threats each time when all was said and done.
💯💯💯
