Concur. I can see a lot of lawsuits from big corps over this.

It’s actually more difficult for the small companies, I would think. Kind of like tax compliance. The big corps can afford huge, expensive attorneys and accountants. The small ones are left flailing.

That said, if the information is compromised and damage can be proven, I can damn well see enormous problems for the agency.

The problem is the lack of trust in the government to actually 'protect' the data... And that is not going to be easy to overcome, especially with the current administration's actions. Just sayin...

That’s what I mean. Trust in the government to protect the data is nonexistent. And this particular administration is not the only problem. May stole those SARs during the Trump administration. Snowden during the Obama years. It’s the government’s ability to protect that information that’s in question, no matter who is in the White House.

It’s a no-win situation, really. Trust in government is very low.
