Why am I seeing a scoped-down version of the early chapters of Tom Clancy's 'Red Storm Rising' ?

The intended target of the 'attack' was the Russian people, the objective: enrage them.

And from all indications, it failed utterly. . .

Oh yes, so many questions... And I'll defer to your analysis.

Here in the US they're noting a Ukrainian stamp to commemorate the attack.

To murder Putin? Doubtful. But launched by US and UA ...? Seems likely.

Likely? Why? What’s the benefit? Who benefits most?

Russian Victory Day is tomorrow. They need a “patriotic” boost. Months of fighting, and they can’t even capture Bakhmut - a town as big as Gary, Indiana. And they need justification to launch even more intensive attacks on Ukraine, as well as give themselves an excuse to attempt to assassinate Zelensky.

Sorry, but no. The US and the UA would just look stupid launching this “attack.” And Russia has pulled this crap before.

Survey says: RUSSIAN FALSE FLAG.

Thanks, Irene.

Not here to argue, so no need to respond but 3 quick points--

1) I don't know anything much about the Kremlin attack. I saw some references to the Ukrainian stamp showing the operation and some other references to UA tweets that were celebratory and quickly taken down. I was left with an impression that the attack was an open secret which Ukraine was not denying ... just not officially confirming... with a knowing look. You follow this closely so happy to defer to your more complete knowledge.

2) The modest amount of damage could go either way. Why would UA attack the building with such meager resources? OTOH, if RU wanted a big propaganda ploy, why not ramp up the damage more?

3) Do you also go with "false flag" on the Nordstream Pipeline?

Hello, Jim. Were you under the impression that the US attacked Nord Stream based on Hersh’s inane and discredited propaganda? I hope not.

As for the Russians increasing the damage more for propaganda purposes… they don’t need to. Plus repairs cost money and resources - things the Russians are short on. They have the little narrative. It doesn’t have to be believable. It just needs to be out there.

And I’m not sure how the stamp shows Ukrainian responsibility in any way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
